so im sick today.  ive looked at google reader probably enough for a whole week, but i wont deny that it was fun.  So since i'm gotten  my fill of other people's blogs and Americas Best Dance Crew isn't on anymore (or, as Mario Lopez likes to call it, "ABDC") I'm going to do something a little more interactive to waste my time as I try to hold down coca cola and cold cream of wheat.  Add my fingerprint to the blog world.
So heres a list of a few of my favorite things...

Starting with movies:
Kung Fu Hustle

This is the movie that got me into kung fu.  Steven Cho is so imaginative and I think hes one of my favorite.  Shoalin Soccer is great too.
This is one of my favorite scenes.  It's not the best quality, but it still is SO COOL.

Diving Bell and the Butterfly

So I'm not sure if this trailer captures how good this movie actually is, but what trailer does?  It's beautifully shot with a compelling story based on a true story.  A must see.

Darjeeling Limited
Okay, a bit of a contraversial choice considering how many people are on the fence about this Wes Anderson film.  Rushmore will always be my favorite and this is no Rushmore, but its great.  Beautiful to watch and I always like an indulgent-rich-family-dealing-with-problems-wealth-cannot-solve plot line.  And I have a crush on Adrian Brody.

Breathless

So french new wave it really cool and I mean that in the humblest of senses because I know nothing about film, but I do think its great they worked on such small budgets. I think every woman wants to look like her.

The Trailer to UP

Television:
Ace of Cakes
Anthony Bourdain No Reservations
30 Rock
The Office
Top Chef

and the sad thing is, this is the cream of the crop.  typically you can find me watching The Real Housewives of (fill in the major city here).  it's like watching a train wreck.

Some good songs.
Later...
